update 21-4-14

I am currently in Newcastle. I came from Melrose yesterday where I had stayed with David and Heather who I met on Iona. I was introduced to their late teenage kids and some of their friends.

I then came to stay in Newcastle with John who I met through couchsurfing and have had a nice conversation with last night.

I just realized I didn't do as much in Edinburgh as I'd liked for how long I was there for but I think I was just recovering from all that I have done haha.

I realize as I experience more and more, my experiences has far surpassed how quickly I am able to write and decided I will just give short updates until I get time to post more thoroughly and most likely I will crank out all my experiences when I get back to the states on the 29th. I don't know why it takes so long to write, though I assume typing on a cellphone is a lot slower than on a proper keyboard.

Anyway I feel as though I have changed yet haven't at the same time. As if a part of me that lay dormant inside is starting to emerge. It really is mostly just letting go of judgement but even though I am starting to feel the pressure of having to buckle down and work and being reintroduced to "normal life" again, it seems like another adventure, and all the issues that will reemerge aren't so bad anymore. I think the greatest thing I have gained thus far is learning to embrace life and all of its qualities, obstacles and all.

  1. Awesome! This kind of travelling is such a growing experience. It takes time to really have it all sink in. See you in the States man. We gotta meet up and talk about your adventures and about Scotland.
