One way ticket to Scotland.

This is the first time that I have ever planned a trip on my own.  My goal for this trip is to wander around the UK with the money that I have and experience as much as I possibly can for as long as I am financially able to.  I plan on starting in Glasgow, make my way over to Edinburgh, and reach my final destination in London, hopefully stopping by some other cities along the way.  I wanted to keep the trip loose and vague so that I may be free to wander and pick and choose where I want to go spontaneously.  I generally do not like incredibly strict schedules because I do not like to feel rushed when I am exploring, and there will be plenty to explore in a country that I have never been to.  I keep my trip open because I am hoping to get to know a few locals and get some ideas on what they think I should do and see to get a better feel for the country and region that I am in.

I am also hoping to find some temporary work... though I am not counting on that too much because I am unaware of how people may react to me.  I would like to do so in order to assist in prolonging my time there and I think it would be fun to experience working and living in another country and getting to know locals on that kind of level. Lets just hope people won't think I am crazy and kick me out places haha.

I have calculated how long my current funds will last me.  I took mid to high priced hostels and train tickets into consideration as a worst case scenario as well as assuming I will be eating out 2 times a day at moderately priced restaurants that I have researched in the areas I will be going to and I should be able to travel for a little under a month spending 8-10 days in each city I mentioned above on the money that I have living fairly extravagantly (which I do not plan on doing).  I will be looking for any opportunity to save as much money as I possibly can, and most likely, I will not eat out often and plan to buy foods from the grocery store and carry some food with me to sustain myself as I wander around.  hopefully by searching for cheaper places to stay and living a little more roughly, I will be allowed to extend my trip longer so that I have more time to explore.  When I get a better feeling for how long I will be able to stay while I am over there, or when I am about to exhaust my funds, I will buy a plane ticket home and continue to plan my trip according to my circumstances.

If anyone has any suggestions or anything that they would like me to check out for them during my travels, please feel free to let me know.  I think it would be fun to have some random tasks so as long as they are reasonably manageable and interesting.
